Moving Box Guys – Terms and Conditions

1.0 Rental of Hired Goods

1.1 The Rental Term is a maximum period of 60 days.

1.2 The Rental Term runs from the date the customer receives the Hire Goods until the day the Hire Goods picked up from the customer by Moving Box Guys.

1.3 The customer takes Possession of the Hire Goods immediately the Hire Goods are delivered to the Customer at the customer’s designated delivery address.

2.0Deposit Bond

2.1 The customer is required to pay a Deposit Bond for any Hire Goods rented from MBG.

2.2 The Deposit Bond is payable at the time the customer makes payment to MBG for the Hire Goods.

2.3 The Deposit Bond is refundable upon return of the Hire Goods in good usable condition (reasonable wear and tear is accepted) and subject to compliance with the Instructions for Care and Maintenance provided to the customer on delivery.

2.4 The bond will be refunded to the customer by way of direct credit or Credit Card refund on return of the Hire Goods to MBG subject to the Hire Goods being returned to MBG in accordance with clause 8.0 below.

2.5 The customer agrees that MBG is entitled to deduct any Cancellation Fee, Product Replacement Charge and/or any other charge or fee incurred by the customer from that customer’s bond prior to any refund of the bond being made to the customer.

3.0 Customer Obligations

3.1 Upon taking Possession of Hired Goods, the customer agrees to: maintain the Hire Goods in good usable condition; and comply with and follow the Instructions for Care and Maintenance provided to the Customer at the time of delivery.

3.2 The customer is responsible for all loss, theft and/or damage of or caused to the Hire Goods whilst the Hire Goods are in the customer’s possession.

4.0 Orders

4.1 MBG will accept orders over the telephone for Hire Goods and Packaging Goods, subject to stock availability during normal business hours on a Monday to Friday.

4.2 MBG will accept orders placed over the internet, subject to stock availability 24 hours a day.

4.3 Should MBG be unable to meet an order placed over the internet for any reason whatsoever, MBG will contact the customer to advise of same and refund any payment made by the customer within 72 hours of the order being placed and payment being made.

5.0 Payment5.1 MBG will accept payment by credit card and direct internet transfer.

5.2 MBG will only accept a Cash payment on Delivery by prior arrangement.

5.3 MBG will NOT accept payment by way of cheque.

6.0 Delivery of Hire Goods and Packing Products

6.1 Upon delivery of the Hire Goods to the customer, the customer is required to examine the Hired Goods and acknowledge that the Hired Goods are received in good usable condition and that the Hired Goods are suitable for their intended use.

6.2 Delivery is available only in the Regions specified by MBG. MBG, at its discretion, may agree to deliver to a customer outside these Regions by prior arrangement only.

6.3 If neither the customer nor any person nominated by the customer to accept delivery of the Hire Goods and/or the Packaging Products is available at the designated delivery location at the scheduled delivery time, the order will be deemed to be cancelled and the customer will be charged a Cancellation Fee of $50.00.

7.0 Cancellation

7.1 The customer may cancel their order at any time free of charge up to 24 hours prior to the designated date of delivery.

7.2 Any cancellation made later than 24 hours prior to the designated date of delivery will be charged a Cancellation Fee of $50.00.

8.0 Return of Hired Goods

8.1 All Hire Goods must be returned to MBG prior to expiry of the Rental Period (i.e. within 60 days of the customer receiving the Hire Goods).

8.2 If the customer wishes to extend the Rental Period beyond 60 days the customer must contact MBG to arrange an extension of the Rental Period subject to additional charges (see also clause 1.4 above).

8.3 All Hire Goods MUST be returned to MBG in good usable condition (reasonable wear and tear is accepted) and in accordance with the Instructions for Care and Maintenance provided to the customer on delivery.

8.4 If any Hire Good is cut, ripped, written on, excessively marked, has had packing tape stripped from the surface and/or is damaged in any other way (reasonable wear and tear excepted), the Hire Good will be deemed to have been returned to MBG in other than good useable condition.

8.5 The customer will be responsible for payment of a Product Replacement Charge for any Hire Good that is returned to MBG in other than good usable condition.

8.6 The Product Replace Charge is charged on the following basis: $3.15 per Medium Box, $5.70 per Large Box, $20.50 per Wardrobe Box and $21.20 per Tape Dispenser. This will result in the product costing the same amount as the purchase prices on the site.

9.0 Return of Non Hired (Buy) Goods

9.1 Goods cannot be returned without prior arrangement with MBG.

9.2 Goods delivered incorrectly by MBG will be replaced with the correct goods at no extra cost to the customer.

9.3 Where a product return has been requested by the customer, having originally been delivered correctly and without damage, MBG retains the right to choose whether it will take back, refund, negotiate or process a request for return.

9.4 If any returned product is cut, ripped, written on, excessively marked, has had packing tape stripped from the surface and/or is damaged in any other way, the product will be deemed to have been returned to MBG in other than good useable condition.

9.5 Where a goods return is not the result of an error on MBG’s part, and the total amount of the return has a resale value of less than $100.00 (NZD), the customer agrees that a pickup fee of up to $50.00 may apply.

10.0 Damaged or Faulty Goods

10.1 Where goods are found to be damaged or are deemed unfit for purpose, the customer is required to notify MBG within 72 hours following delivery or receipt of the order.

10.2 The customer agrees that MBG retains the right to choose to inspect any goods that are referred to as damaged or faulty prior to agreement to replace or credit those goods.

10.3 If damaged or faulty MBG agrees to replace the affected goods at no extra cost to the customer. If a replacement is not immediately available, MBG will offer an upgrade or a refund of those goods.

11.0 Price

11.1 All prices are stated in New Zealand dollars (NZD) and include Goods and Services Tax (GST).

11.2 Prices displayed on MBG’s website are subject to change without notice.

12.0 Disputes

12.1 The customer agrees that any dispute or disagreement between a customer and MBG is to be dealt with and resolved directly between the customer and MBG by way of negotiation.

13.0 Miscellaneous

13.1 MBG has the right to modify these Terms and Conditions at any time.

13.2 By placing an order with MBG the customer acknowledges that they have read and understood MBG’s Terms and Conditions and agrees to be bound by MBG’s Terms and Conditions.

14.0 Privacy

14.1 Personal details entered when ordering products online will be used solely by MBG to process your order and will not be distributed.

Receipt of these Terms and Conditions is acknowledged by the Customer.
